Career

This is such a recurrent answer but the first thing that pushed me towards art was watching anime as a kid. The characters were so fascinating that I could resist drawing them daily.

I don’t think a major is the main key to being an artist.
I love studying and learning new things and a good way for me is to look and share with fellow classmates or colleagues, that’s why the university is such an enjoyable experience for me, but if you don’t feel good doing that, there’s is a lot of courses online that can help you in your journey.
A major is not important but knowing artistic concepts like proportions, lights/shadows, values, or how to control the space is a key factor.
-
I wanted new perspectives, learn about different cultures, and use these experiences for my art.
Found how to be by myself, and get more networking and friends.
-
Checking other artists, watching anime, playing videogames, seeing trends.
All these things recharge my artistic battery.
